1. Sub + is/am/are + Noun का प्रयोग दो अर्थ में - होता है|    और     है, हो, हैं, हूँ |

Ex- दूध उजला होता है| Milk is white.      

निम्बू खट्टा होता है| Lemon is sour.

दही मीठा होता है| Curd is sweet.            

बच्चें शरारती होते हैं|

Children are naughty.

मै सुधीर हूँ| I am Sudhir.               

वेसब खिलाडी हैं|         

They are players.

2. Sub + is/am/are + Adjective का प्रयोग है, हो, हैं, हूँ के अर्थ में|

Ex- तुम गरीब हो| You are poor.

मै सुन्दर हूँ| I am beautiful.

वेसब ईमानदार हैं|

They are honest.        

3. Sub + is/am/are + V³ (Passive Voice के अर्थ में)

Ex- तुम्हे पिटा जाता है| You are beaten.

मुझे पढाया जाता है|   I am taught.

बच्चों को माँ के द्वारा खिलाया जाता हैं|

Children are fed by mother.   

4. Sub + is/am/are + being + V³ (Passive of continuous)

Ex- पुल बनाया जा रहा है|

The bridge is being constructed.

मुझे गणित पढाया जा रहा है|

I am being taught mathematics.

बच्चों को खेलाया जा रहा हैं|

Children are being played.     

5. Sub + is/am/are + V⁴ + Ow (Continuous Tense)

Ex- तुम छड़ी से पिटा रहे हो|

You are beating with stick.

मै बगीचे में पुल तोड़ रहा हूँ|

I am plucking flowers in the garden.

हमलोगों की टीम मैच जीत रही हैं| 

Our team is leading match.    

6. Sub + is/am/are + to + V¹ + Ow (Infinitive shows Plan वाला है/वाली है/ना है/नी है)

Ex- मुझे पटना जाना है| 

I am to go to Patna.

राधा मुझसे मिलने वाली है|

Radha is to meet me.

हमलोगों राजगीर भ्रमण पर जाने वाले हैं| 

We are to go to Rargir on tour.          

7. Sub + is/am/are + about to + V¹ + Ow (Shows immediate Plan ही वाला है /ही वाली है)

Ex- मै पटना जाने ही वाला हूँ|

I am about to go to Patna.

राधा मुझसे मिलने ही वाली है| 

Radha is about to meet me.

हमलोगों राजगीर भ्रमण पर जाने ही वाले हैं|

We are about to go to Rargir on tour.

8. It + is + Time/Hour/Month/Year …… (Natural event)

Ex- सवा दस बजा है|

It is quarter to 10 O’clock.

पौने दस बजा है|

It is quarter to 10 O’clock. 

साढ़े दस बजा है| 

It is half past 10 O’clock.

यह जनवरी का महिना है| 

It is January./ It is month of January.

9. It + is + Subjective case.

(not objective case ही तो है/हूँ/हैं)

Ex- मैं/वह/वेलोग/तुम ही तो हूँ|                       

It is I/He/They/You.

मोहन ही तो वहां है|                               

It is Mohan there. 

बच्चें ही तो शोर गुल करते हैं|                 

It is children to make a noise.

10. It + is + nothing but + Noun.  ही है)

Ex-  पानी ही पानी है|

It is nothing but water.

तलब में मछली ही मछली हैं|

It is nothing but fishes in the pond.

वहाँ लड़कियाँ ही लड़कियाँ हैं|

It is nothing but girls there.
